It was after that initial meeting regarding the video we wanted to do for our song “Dreamshade” off the “Polysyllabic” album. We simply looked at each other and said just this one little phrase. “And we are about to do what”?
Almost thirty months later, this video alone is travelling to London and the LMVF festival. “Dreamshade” is part of the finals now. Come the first day of July, we will all have the pleasure and the honor to see our own brainchild compete with the rest of the chosen ones.
Naturally, at this point, congratulations are in order. Congrats to our director, Maria Chatzigianni (aka M-Word), the amazingly talented girl, who attended that meeting with enthusiasm and love; congrats to her unique team as well! As for Dimitris Alexandris, the very starring hero of our souls… This gentleman is beyond words and descriptions. Thank you so much for your support, we shall revert this Summer!
The Ivories are thrilled to announce that they will be part of the most beloved Rock/Metal event in Greece. For the very first time the Rock In Dio institution becomes a two-day music celebration. ILLUSORY will share the stage with some of the most well known bands in the country. Come May 17, the boys will sing some songs to a singer… Make sure you book for both days, May 16 and 17, as all proceedings will go to a fine cause, saving children’s life or making them better. ILLUSORY: The band has a brand new keyboard player!
It’s been a while for the residents of The Ivory Tower. The band was searching and listening and auditioning. For months. Silently. The time has come to announce the new musician behind the Ivories’ black’n’whites. Mr. Makis Vandoros is the new ILLUSORY keyboardist and we wish him good luck and a completely fruitful future with the boys, musicwise and lifewise. The band is currently working on their third album, wrapping up and composing… well, all will be revealed. Makis, welcome and Shine On!
It’s been a while and the band did not forget about submitting new material. The Ivories’ latest live appearance, supporting mighty Geoff Tate and his Operation: Mindcrime at the Gagarin 205 Club in Athens, was filmed and the boys spent a considerable amount of time editing the parts and preparing a rather appealing result. First “element” off their setlist that magical night is no other than “A New Beginning“, coming from their sophomore album, “Polysyllabic” and it is basically a promise of many more videos to come. The band is currently working on their third album, which will be released in early 2020 and there is just one thing the boys want to establish. Far and foremost that you are all enjoying this video. That is SO true, mighty inhabitants of a certain Technical Utopia! Our first two albums, “The Ivory Tower” and “Polysyllabic“, will be released on vinyl pretty soon!
